What is the purpose of Russia's space creatures?
by Jeremy Irons

Recently Russia sent many animals into space for a month.

After a month, they came back. Only the lizard types survived, while most all of the others were dead.

They claim the aim of the mission was to observe the effect that space travel has on living beings.

This is all well and good, but is that really a purpose? Was there no way this could have been simulated?

I know there's nothing like the real thing, but like what is this research for? To see if humans can leave the earth and go live in space? That sounds far fetched, but at least it would make sense.
